as the eyes gauge themselves out
and the bottom teeth stick out
as if they want to try and eat your nose.
and it's not you,
it's everyone else.
we're just looking at you from a muggy lens
because you're not like that...
really...
a few damaged vocal chords later
nothing happens.
Maybe you wore the demon out
or maybe it's out to lunch.
either way,
you haven't eaten yourself,
you still have both of your eyes
and your jaw looks normal.
Now we gotta prepare for next week.
